Soaking Up Summer: Two Weeks of Joy at Fosterful’s Summer Camp

There’s something special about summer—the slower mornings, the sunshine that lingers a little longer, and the chance for kids to simply be kids. This August, we’re holding onto those moments as we look back on not just one, but two incredible weeks at Fosterful’s summer camp.

From day one, the energy was contagious. Across both weeks, youth jumped into activities designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and create connection. One of the biggest highlights? Making their own pizzas. From choosing toppings to proudly pulling their creations out of the oven, campers lit up with a sense of independence and accomplishment—plus plenty of laughter along the way.

The fun continued outdoors with scavenger hunts that had kids racing from clue to clue, working together to solve riddles and celebrate every win. These moments weren’t just exciting—they built teamwork, trust, and friendships that carried throughout the week.

Each week brought new faces, new memories, and countless moments of joy. Whether it was sharing a meal, cheering each other on, or simply enjoying time together, camp created a space where kids felt safe, supported, and free to be themselves.

For many of the youth we serve, experiences like summer camp aren’t always guaranteed. That’s why these two weeks mattered so much. They weren’t just filled with fun—they were filled with belonging, connection, and care.

As summer winds down and the back-to-school season approaches, we carry these moments with us. They’re a reminder of what’s possible when kids are given the opportunity to just be kids—and when a community comes together to make it happen.

Thank you to everyone who helps create experiences like this. Because of you, summer isn’t just a season—it’s something our kids will carry with them long after it ends.
